Dolichospermum lemmermannii (P.G. Richter) P. Wacklin, L. Hoffmann & J. Komárek 2009

First described by Richter (1903: 153) as Anabaena lemmermannii. Recently, it has been moved to its current position by Wacklin, Hoffmann & Komárek (2009: 62). The akinetes are always adjacent to the heterocysts in this species.
Cell dimensions: L. 4-10 µm; B. 3-7 µm.
Probably common at loch-margins, and pools as floating entities.
