Staurastrum micronoides P.F.M. Coesel & A.M.T. Joosten 1996
First described and illustrated by Coesel & Joosten (1996: 15, 12-14). As the name suggest, it’s similar to S. micron but larger.
Overall cell dimensions: L: 21-30 µm; B: 24-35 µm; Is: 5-7 µm.
Found in loch-margins and shallow pools but rarely recorded.
