Euastrum neospeciosum P.F.M. Coesel & K.J. Meesters 2023
It differs from the similar Euastrum bidentatum Nägeli 1894 in having more elaborate lateral lobes and deeper incurvations.
Cell dimensions: L: 45-53 µm; B: 31-35 µm; Is: 9-10.2 µm; Th: 21-23.6 µm; L/B: 1.39-1.63.
Found in acidic habitats such as Sphagnum bogs, moorland pools and old peat-cuttings. Frequently encountered in the Outer Hebrides.
