Sphaerocystis schroeteri R. Chodat 1897

First described by Chodat (1897: 119) without illustration. Very similar to Coenochloris fottii (Hindák) P.M.Tsarenko, which some authors think may by synonymous.
Cell dimensions: B: 6-15 µm.
Regarded as common throughout the British Isles.
