Ceratium cornutum (C.G. Ehrenberg) É. Claparède & J. Lachmann 1859

First described by Ehrenberg (1832: 75) as Peridinium cornutum. It was later moved to its current position by Claparède & Lachmann (1859: 394). Common in low nutrient waters such as the plankton of lochs, moorland bogs and pools.
