Delicate Stonewort

First described by Kützing (1834: 705). One of the commoner Charophytes.
Plants are usually 3-15 cms tall. Oogonia up to 1100 x 700 µm. Antheridia up to 350 µm diameter.
Found in many freshwater habitats, also slightly brackish. From lochs, ditches and streams.
