Ceramium virgatum Roth, 1797
Common in intertidal rock pools growing on larger seaweeds and rock surfaces. Growing up to 30 cm tall, the delicate fronds are dichotomously branched and have a banded appearance when viewed under low magnification. The tips curl inwards to give a loose circle appearance
